JA!COCO! Studio

Over the past seven years JA!COCO! have designed celebrated Edinburgh bars and eateries such as Superico, The High Dive, Hula Juice Café and Prom Slice. In 2019 83 Hanover Street, was  nominated for Best Breakthrough at the GQ Food & Drink Awards.

Led by founder & creative director Jaco Justice (pictured above in The High Dive) our unique and somewhat maximal approach to commercial interiors is in stark contrast to the Scottish capital's over reliance on traditional designing; often stuck within the nostalgic architectural parameters of the Old and New Towns.

With a keen eye on Edinburgh's heritage and how it balances progress and historical conservation, Jaco previously served as Art Director of the Edinburgh International Fashion Festival for its five year existence. Originally commissioned at the newly-founded Summerhall in 2012, the festival brought fashion and creative luminaries such as Amanda Harlech, Hussein Chalayan, Bella Freud and Pam Hogg to their vast array of events across many of Edinburgh's most stunning venues including NMS, Assembly Rooms and Mansfield Traquair. Indeed one of JA!COCO!'s earlier interior and brand design commissions was the Festival Theatre Cafe.
